Al Hamriyah Municipality marks Eid with community initiatives

Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Municipality organised a series of community initiatives on the first day of Eid Al Fitr, reflecting values of unity and generosity. Activities included visits to security and service personnel, as well as distributing flowers and gifts to residents and visitors across key locations in the area.

Honouring frontline personnel

Municipal teams visited Al Hamriyah Comprehensive Police Station and Al Hamriyah Civil Defence Centre, extending Eid greetings to on-duty staff in appreciation of their efforts in maintaining safety and serving the community.

Spreading joy among the public

The initiative also included distributing flowers and gifts to worshippers at Al Rahma Mosque after Eid prayers, creating a festive atmosphere and bringing joy to families and children.

Activities at Al Hamriyah Beach

Events extended to Al Hamriyah Beach, where field teams welcomed visitors, residents, and tourists with flowers and gifts, enhancing the family-friendly and recreational environment at the popular destination.

Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality said the initiatives reflect the municipality’s commitment to sharing the joy of Eid and strengthening social cohesion, in line with Sharjah’s vision of promoting social and humanitarian values.

Safety and readiness measures

The municipality also ensured full readiness to receive beach visitors by providing services, enhancing safety measures, and deploying trained lifeguards, alongside intensified inspections to ensure a safe environment.

The initiatives were well received by residents and visitors, who praised the efforts for enhancing the festive spirit and reinforcing community bonds.

The municipality concluded by extending warm Eid greetings to the UAE leadership, citizens, and residents, wishing continued prosperity and blessings for all.
