Al Hamriyah Municipality mobilises efforts to address rainfall

Sharjah 24: Al Hamriyah Municipality has mobilised its field efforts to address the effects of the weather conditions. This includes implementing a comprehensive plan to contain and drain rainwater from streets and roundabouts, ensuring the preservation of infrastructure and the uninterrupted flow of traffic.

Guaranteeing rapid response and immediate action

The municipality confirmed that it has activated its emergency and crisis plan and raised the readiness level of its pre-prepared teams, based on well-defined plans, to guarantee a rapid response and immediate action on all emerging issues in light of the fluctuating weather conditions.

The municipality has dedicated all its human and technical resources, deploying specialised teams across the city to work around the clock to monitor and promptly address water accumulations. Efforts to drain water from roundabouts and main roads have also been enhanced to contribute to achieving the highest levels of public safety.

Ensuring road safety and comfort of community members

In this context, His Excellency Mubarak Rashid Al Shamsi, Director of Al Hamriyah Municipality, affirmed that the municipality operates according to a comprehensive and proactive system to address weather conditions. He noted that work teams are making continuous efforts to ensure the rapid drainage of rainwater and maintain smooth traffic flow. 

Al Shamsi added: “We are committed to enhancing our field readiness around the clock and utilising all available resources to ensure road safety, the comfort of community members, and to efficiently handle any weather-related emergencies.”
