Sharjah 24 – AFP: Bayern Munich beat Union Berlin 4-0 at home, with Harry Kane moving closer to the single-season Bundesliga goal record.

Match highlights

Michael Olise opened the scoring in the 41st minute, followed by two goals from Serge Gnabry before Kane added Bayern’s third just after halftime. Gnabry completed the 4-0 win with a volley in the 67th minute. Kane now has 31 league goals this season, just 10 short of Robert Lewandowski’s 2020-21 record, with seven games remaining. Kane said: "It's still possible, I just have to keep doing what I'm doing."

Bayern’s total goals this season reached 97, just four short of the record set in 1971-72 by Franz Beckenbauer and Gerd Mueller.

Dortmund stage dramatic comeback against Hamburg

Borussia Dortmund came from two goals down to beat Hamburg 3-2 at home. Ramy Bensebaini scored twice from penalties, with Serhou Guirassy adding a crucial rebound goal. Dortmund remain second in the Bundesliga, 11 points ahead of RB Leipzig but nine points behind leaders Bayern.

Leverkusen’s top-four hopes hit by Heidenheim draw

Bayer Leverkusen drew 3-3 with bottom side Heidenheim, squandering a 3-2 lead with five minutes remaining. Goals from Malik Tillmann and Patrik Schick had put Leverkusen ahead, but Heidenheim fought back through Hennes Behrens, Marvin Pieringer, and a late equalizer. The draw leaves Leverkusen sixth, four points behind Leipzig, Stuttgart, and Hoffenheim.

Other Bundesliga results

Werder Bremen beat Wolfsburg 1-0, pushing Wolfsburg closer to relegation. Meanwhile, Cologne and Borussia Moenchengladbach played out a 3-3 draw.
