Sharjah24: The UAE Ministry of Defence announced that on April 9, 2026, no ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, or drones originating from Iran were detected by the country’s air defence systems.

The ministry confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported in the past hours, maintaining stability following previous incidents.

Interceptions since start of attacks

Since the beginning of what it described as Iranian attacks, UAE air defences have intercepted 537 ballistic missiles, 26 cruise missiles, and 2,256 drones targeting the country.

The total number of injuries remains at 224, involving individuals of multiple nationalities, including Emirati, Egyptian, Sudanese, Ethiopian, Filipino, Pakistani, Iranian, Indian, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Azerbaijani, Yemeni, Ugandan, Eritrean, Lebanese, Afghan, Bahraini, Comorian, Turkish, Iraqi, Nepali, Nigerian, Omani, Jordanian, Palestinian, Ghanaian, Indonesian, Swedish, Tunisian, Moroccan, and Russian.

Fatality figures unchanged

No deaths were recorded in the past few hours. Since the onset of the attacks, the total number of martyrs stands at two, in addition to one Moroccan civilian contractor. Total civilian fatalities remain at 10, across various nationalities.

Full readiness to counter threats

The Ministry of Defence reaffirmed its full readiness to respond decisively to any threats to the country’s security and stability, ensuring the protection of national sovereignty, interests, and capabilities.
