Faisal Khalid Al Naboodah, Director of Marketing and Public Relations at Sharjah Co-operative Society, told “Sharjah 24” that the two organisations share a commitment to bringing quality homemade foods closer to everyday consumers. He was clear that this effort is directly inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to build a resilient and self-reliant food security system for the Emirate.
Al Naboodah pointed out that having these organic breads readily available on cooperative shelves. He added that the three products are part of Ektifa’s wider and rather ambitious plan to introduce over 140 locally produced food items to Sharjah's market.
Wrapping up his remarks, Al Naboodah was upbeat about what lies ahead. More Ektifa products — organic and varied — are expected to reach shelves in the months to come, steadily widening the range of local choices available to consumers and keeping Sharjah firmly on course towards greater food independence.
