Sharjah 24 – AFP: Manchester City have confirmed that captain Bernardo Silva will leave the club at the end of the season, marking the end of a highly successful era.

Key figure in historic success under Pep Guardiola

The 31-year-old joined City from AS Monaco in 2017 and has made over 450 appearances, playing a central role in the club’s dominance under Pep Guardiola.

During his time at the Etihad, Silva won 15 major trophies, including six Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League, while contributing 76 goals and 77 assists.

Among club’s all-time appearance leaders

Silva recently moved into Manchester City’s top 10 all-time appearance makers, surpassing notable former players such as David Silva, Paul Power, and Willie Donachie.

Focus on finishing with more silverware

The club said Silva will aim to end his final months with more trophies, with City still competing for both the Premier League title and the FA Cup.

Emotional farewell message

In a message shared on social media, Silva expressed gratitude to the city and fans, highlighting both football success and personal milestones, including starting his family during his time in Manchester.
