Sharjah24: Manchester City tightened the gap on leaders Arsenal with an exciting 5–4 victory over Fulham, after having been ahead 3–0 and 4–1. The match also saw Norwegian striker Erling Haaland become the fastest player in Premier League history to reach 100 goals.

City’s second consecutive win

With their second win in a row—following two defeats to Newcastle (1–2) in the league and Bayer Leverkusen (0–2) at home in the UEFA Champions League—Pep Guardiola’s side raised their tally to 28 points, placing them second, just two points behind Arsenal, who face Brentford on Wednesday.

Haaland returns to scoring form

After going three matches without scoring, including the Champions League loss to Bayer Leverkusen at the Etihad Stadium, Haaland returned to the scoresheet by netting his 15th league goal of the season and his 20th across 19 matches in all competitions.

Fastest player to reach 100 Premier League goals

The Norwegian star has now reached 100 goals in 111 Premier League appearances, becoming the fastest player to hit the century mark—surpassing Alan Shearer (124 matches) and other prolific scorers such as Harry Kane (141), Sergio Agüero (147), and Thierry Henry (160).
