Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Municipality continues its efforts to instill the concepts of sustainability and enhance quality of life by organising a new community event as part of its “Fun, Challenge, and Learn” initiative.

Held at the city’s public park, the event features an innovative environmental theme focused on recycling, creating an interactive and enjoyable experience for children.

Educational activities delivered in an engaging format

The event includes a diverse range of activities designed to raise children’s awareness of environmental protection, including interactive recycling workshops, fun competitions, and simplified educational experiments. Children are also taught how to creatively transform waste materials into useful items, alongside recreational activities that combine learning and play.

Strong participation from children

The initiative received positive engagement from children across the city, aiming to instill a culture of sustainability and encourage responsible daily environmental practices. It promotes concepts such as reuse and waste reduction in a simple and interactive way that strengthens children’s connection to eco-friendly behavior.

Focus on building an environmentally aware generation

His Excellency Talib Abdullah Al Yahyai, Director of Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, said the initiative reflects the municipality’s approach to launching innovative programs that help build an environmentally aware generation. He noted that focusing on recycling supports efforts to spread a culture of sustainability in practical and accessible ways, especially among children as the foundation of a more responsible future.

Combining education, entertainment, and community engagement
