Dibba Al Hisn Municipality gears up for unsettled weather

Sharjah 24: Ayman Salem Mohammed, Director of Inspection and Control at Dibba Al Hisn Municipality, confirmed that the Municipality is fully prepared to handle the current weather situation. The municipality has deployed six pumps and five water tanks across the city, set up field teams, and coordinated with relevant authorities to ensure rapid response, public safety, and smooth traffic flow. Post-rain operations are also planned to restore affected areas to normal conditions.

Agricultural and sanitation teams on standby

The director noted that the Agriculture Department teams are ready to address field-related issues. The municipality is also collaborating with BEEAH to carry out cleaning operations, particularly clearing stormwater drains to maintain proper water flow.

Coordination with emergency services

The municipality is working closely with strategic partners, including Dibba Al Hisn Police Station, Civil Defence, and the municipal call centre, to handle public reports and emergencies efficiently, ensuring both community safety and traffic movement.

Ongoing post-rain recovery efforts

He emphasised that municipal efforts extend beyond rainfall periods, with teams leveling sandy roads, address any subsidence, and restoring affected sites to their normal state.
