In its initial phase, the platform includes 33 items, divided into 17 essential consumer goods and 16 other essential products. Prices are tracked in real time across 12 major retail outlets nationwide, with minimum and maximum prices displayed for each outlet to help consumers compare prices easily between branches.
The platform allows consumers to create customised food baskets based on their needs and automatically directs them to the most cost-effective options, helping improve transparency and enable more efficient spending.
His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism and Chairman of the Higher Committee for Consumer Protection, said the UAE has built an advanced legislative and digital framework to protect consumer rights, ensuring a stable and secure consumer environment aligned with global best practices.
He added that the platform encourages competition among retailers, enhances price transparency, promotes market stability, and protects consumers’ purchasing power while supporting long-term economic sustainability.
The Ministry confirmed that price data will be updated daily through direct electronic integration with participating retail outlets, ensuring accurate and real-time monitoring of market activity.
Consumers are encouraged to report any differences between platform prices and in-store prices by calling 8001222, as part of efforts to ensure compliance and maintain market transparency.
