The Ministry of Economy and Tourism affirmed that the UAE’s strategic reserves of essential commodities are robust, diversified, and sufficient to meet domestic demand for extended periods. It confirmed that all essential food and non-food items remain widely available across markets and retail outlets nationwide.

Continuous monitoring to ensure supply and price stability

The Ministry is closely monitoring stock levels through its advanced electronic price-monitoring system, supported by regular assessments to prevent shortages and maintain price stability. Major retailers have also confirmed stable supply operations, while the Ministry maintains daily coordination with suppliers and distributors to ensure uninterrupted availability.

He confirmed that imports and supply chains are operating normally, supported by diversified trade partners and proactive plans to secure uninterrupted flows of goods.

Food security a national priority

Bin Touq stressed that ensuring the availability of essential goods, especially food, is a national priority with zero tolerance for disruptions. He reassured the public that contingency plans and strong reserves guarantee continuity under all circumstances.

Advanced logistics and global trade network

The UAE benefits from extensive global trade partnerships, advanced infrastructure, and integrated logistics corridors across sea, air, and land, reinforcing its role as a regional hub for storage and distribution while ensuring fast and efficient supply to local markets.

Call for responsible purchasing and public cooperation
