In the Group 1 2,000-metre dirt race, “RB Boyfriend” delivered a composed and powerful run, taking control on the final turn and pulling away in the closing stages to win in 2:18.05.
The winner, trained by Ali Al-Qiyadi and ridden by Adel Al-Qiyadi, runs in the colours of owner Omar Ismail Garghar. The victory marks his ninth win from 11 career starts, alongside two second-place finishes.
The race was attended by UAE Ambassador to Tunisia Dr. Iman Ahmed Al Salami and Faisal Al Rahmani, Secretary-General of the Higher Organising Committee for the President’s Cup, along with other officials and diplomats.
Musallam Salem Al Amri, Member of the Higher Organising Committee, said the strong turnout and competition reflect the Cup’s global prestige and its role in supporting Arabian horse racing and breeders worldwide. He also praised the Tunisia leg as a demonstration of the UAE’s leadership in promoting the sport internationally.
Alongside the race, heritage and cultural activities reinforced the event’s broader significance beyond sport, while a pre-race horse auction saw record participation, underlining the Cup’s expanding cultural and commercial influence.
