Sharjah24 - WAM: South Korea’s exports increased 49.4% year-on-year in the first 20 days of April, driven by strong global demand for semiconductors, according to data from the Korea Customs Service.

Outbound shipments reached $50.4 billion between 1 and 20 April, compared with $33.7 billion in the same period last year. This marks the highest figure ever recorded for the first 20 days of April.

Imports and trade balance

Imports rose 17.7% to $39.9 billion over the same period, resulting in a trade surplus of $10.4 billion.

Semiconductor exports jumped 182.5% to $18.3 billion, while shipments of computers and related equipment surged 399% to $2.2 billion, reflecting robust global demand for technology products.
