Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Dhafra Region, received a delegation from AD Ports Group led by Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi, Managing Director and Group CEO, to review the latest developments in maritime infrastructure projects across the region.

Progress on 12 development projects

The delegation briefed His Highness Sheikh Hamdan on 12 ongoing projects aimed at expanding and modernising marine facilities, increasing capacity to receive visitors, and supporting sustainable development and quality of life in Al Dhafra.

Leadership support for sustainable development

Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed highlighted that the development projects in Al Dhafra are closely supported and followed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reflecting a commitment to comprehensive development and improving citizens’ quality of life.

Strengthening logistics and trade connectivity

The meeting also reviewed AD Ports Group’s efforts to enhance its integrated logistics network to strengthen trade resilience and support supply chains in line with national economic and sustainability goals.

Appreciation for ongoing cooperation

Captain Mohamed Juma Al Shamisi expressed appreciation for Sheikh Hamdan’s continued support, noting that the projects align with community needs and reinforce Al Dhafra’s position as an emerging maritime hub.

Briefing on maritime ecosystem development

Sheikh Hamdan also received updates on the contributions of Al Mir Group and Serh Group in enhancing the maritime ecosystem and improving operational efficiency.

The meeting was attended by senior officials, including Sheikh Yas bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and representatives from the Ruler’s Representative Court in Al Dhafra Region.
