Six injured after Swiss flight aborted at Delhi airport

Sharjah24/Reuters: The Economic Times reported that six passengers were injured and taken to hospital after a Swiss airline flight travelling from Delhi to Zurich was forced to abort its take-off and was evacuated on the runway at Indira Gandhi International Airport early on Sunday.

Engine failure during take-off

According to the report, the incident occurred when one of the aircraft’s engines malfunctioned and caught fire during the take-off run. This prompted the crew to immediately stop the aircraft and initiate an emergency evacuation procedure on the runway.
