Sharjah24: Orlando Magic secured a 113–105 victory over Detroit Pistons to move ahead 2–1 in their first-round playoff series in the NBA.

Paolo Banchero and Desmond Bane scored 25 points each, guiding Orlando, the eighth seed from the regular season, to a crucial win in front of their home fans. Banchero also added 12 rebounds and nine assists, while Bane set a franchise playoff record with seven three-pointers.

Late Detroit comeback falls short

Detroit, who finished top of the Eastern Conference in the regular season, nearly completed a comeback after erasing a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter. Cade Cunningham led all scorers with 27 points.

Final-minute turnaround seals result
The Pistons briefly took a one-point lead with three minutes remaining but failed to score again. Orlando responded with a 9–0 run to close the game. A late Banchero three-point attempt, which bounced high before dropping in, helped seal the win for the Magic.
