Sharjah Excellence Award sets 2026 timeline, boosts reach

Organised annually by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, the award continues to reinforce its standing as a leading regional platform for institutional excellence and innovation.

New global assessment model adopted

The Board reviewed the adoption of an advanced fourth-generation global institutional assessment model, together with enhancements to the award’s digital platform to improve the user experience for participants, evaluators and judges.

Expanding outreach across GCC markets

Discussions also focused on expanding marketing outreach across local and GCC markets, in coordination with the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, thereby further strengthening the award’s regional impact.

Rising participation and sector recognition

The Board noted sustained growth in participation across previous cycles and discussed introducing sector-specific recognition for winning companies to highlight excellence and to strengthen industry benchmarking.

Enhancing evaluation and training

Nada Al Hajri presented a data-driven review of trends and highlighted expanded training programmes for evaluators and participants to ensure alignment with international best practices and to maintain consistency in assessments.
