40 mothers honoured at SLC ‘Breastfeeding Mother’ ceremony

Sharjah 24: Sharjah Health Authority, represented by the Breastfeeding Friends, organised the ‘Breastfeeding Mother’ recognition ceremony at the Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC), where 40 mothers from various categories were honoured in appreciation of their efforts and dedication to exclusive breastfeeding for two years.

Supporting mothers and raising awareness

Fawzia Mahmoud Al Ameeri, Board Member of the Breastfeeding Friends, said in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the ceremony comes as part of efforts to support mothers and encourage them to continue this healthy approach. She noted that an accompanying awareness workshop was organised, addressing the optimal health regimen for breastfeeding mothers.

Addressing challenges and appreciation

Al Ameeri affirmed the association’s commitment to highlighting the psychological and social challenges that mothers may face, while working to support them and recognise their efforts in this regard. She concluded by expressing her thanks and appreciation to all strategic partners and organisers, wishing them continued success.
