Sharjah24: Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah, affiliated with the Rubu’ Qarn for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, has announced the launch of its diverse programme for May. The initiative targets girls aged 13 to 18 across its three centres in Sharjah, Khorfakkan, and Kalba, as part of a comprehensive vision aimed at empowering girls and developing their personalities in knowledge, skills, and values.

Diverse workshops to foster creativity

The programme offers a rich selection of interactive workshops that combine arts, heritage, innovation, and technology. It provides a unique experience that promotes skill development through practice and opens broad opportunities for participants to discover their abilities and nurture their passions.

Arts and innovation

In the field of arts and creativity, participants will engage in various activities including drawing, mosaic art, global art schools, photography, and music performance. The programme also features design workshops that blend handicrafts with modern technologies, including AI-assisted drawing tools and digital notebook design using Canva, reflecting the organisation’s approach to integrating art with technology.

Identity and heritage

On the cultural side, the workshops include sessions introducing the values of Emirati “San‘a” (etiquette), exploring traditional proverbs and their meanings, and revisiting historical professions and social life. The programme also offers artistic experiences inspired by local heritage, strengthening participants’ connection to their cultural roots while encouraging modern forms of expression.

Personal and leadership skills

The programme focuses on developing personal and leadership skills through workshops in content creation, theatrical performance, and organising volunteer initiatives. These activities enhance responsibility and teamwork, with some counting toward accredited youth volunteer hours.

Cultural and educational activities

It also includes cultural and recreational activities, as well as interactive educational trips that allow participants to explore global cultures and gain inspiring field experiences in a safe and motivating environment that encourages dialogue, experimentation, and confidence-building.

Continuing mission

Sajaya affirmed that its May programme builds on its mission to prepare a generation of creative, proactive girls who are rooted in their identity and open to the world with confidence and awareness, through high-quality programmes aligned with their interests and future aspirations.
