Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Art Foundation held an art exhibition titled “sunkissed” featuring the works of the Jeddah-based artist Ahaad Alamoudi, during which Jiwon Lee, Head of the Curatorial Department at Sharjah Art Foundation, discussed the artworks on display and their cultural context.

During her remarks with “Sharjah 24”, Lee explained that the exhibition showcases a variety of Alamoudi’s existing artwork, including paintings and video installations, along with a sand piece set in the courtyard crafted specifically for Sharjah Art Foundation.

Jiwon Lee added that the artist’s choice of color, which is mainly shades of orange and sandy tones, reflects Alamoudi’s unique approach to understanding the Gulf region’s desert culture and conveying a contemporary interpretation of its traditional elements.
