Sharjah 24: The Dibba Al Hisn Parents Council, affiliated with the Sharjah Districts Affairs Department (SDAD), organised its first partners' meeting under the title “Together for a Sustainable Partnership Towards Family Well-being.” This meeting was part of the council's efforts to enhance institutional cooperation and activate community partnerships to support families and improve their quality of life.

The meeting was attended by 46 people, including heads, directors, and representatives of various departments, along with a number of prominent community figures. It witnessed significant interaction from the attendees and aimed to introduce the council's plan and review areas of cooperation with partners, particularly in the fields of community research and studies. The meeting also highlighted the most prominent initiatives and services offered by participating entities and their role in supporting families and children. Furthermore, the meeting discussed the integration of efforts and explored opportunities for joint cooperation to achieve the goals of the “Year of the Family.”

Commitment to launching impactful initiatives

Safia Al Nuaimi, an official of the Council, reviewed the Council's most prominent initiatives and achievements during the first quarter of the "Year of the Family," emphasising the Council's commitment to launching impactful initiatives that contribute to supporting parents and enhancing their educational role.

For her part, Dr Mariam Al Mansouri, Head of the Research and Partnerships Committee, presented an overview of the committee's responsibilities, highlighting the importance of institutional collaboration in preparing the research paper the Council is working on regarding behavioural aspects, and the role of these studies in supporting decision-making and developing community initiatives.

Integrating efforts

In his address, Ahmed Abdullah Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Council, stressed the importance of integrating efforts among various entities and the necessity of creating effective collaborative opportunities to implement joint initiatives at the city level, serving parents and contributing to family stability.

The meeting also featured Dr Rasha Al Matroushi, Director of the Child Centre, who reviewed the services and facilities the center provides in supporting and rehabilitating children and developing students' talents, emphasising the centre's role in building the capabilities of future generations and enhancing their potential.

In the same context, Siham Al Dhaheri from the Economic Development Department, Dibba Al Hisn branch, spoke, highlighting the most prominent services provided by the department and its role in supporting and empowering families economically, which positively impacts their quality of life and well-being.

The meeting also included a discussion of several proposals aimed at strengthening the institutional partnership system in the Emirate of Sharjah, contributing to the development of community services and achieving integration among various entities.
