Sharjah24/WAM: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye, discussed during a phone call on Saturday various areas of cooperation, particularly in the economic and development sectors, and ways to enhance them in support of development priorities and shared interests within the framework of the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement between the two countries.
Commitment to deeper bilateral relations
UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan affirmed their mutual commitment to continuing joint efforts to strengthen UAE–Türkiye relations and build on the progress achieved across various areas of cooperation, especially their development partnerships, in a way that promotes growth and prosperity for both peoples.
UAE participation in SAHA Expo 2026
The call also touched on the UAE’s participation in SAHA Expo 2026, the international defence, aviation, and aerospace exhibition being held in Istanbul, and the importance of the event in enhancing international cooperation in these sectors.
Regional issues and security concerns
During the call, the two sides also reviewed a number of issues and topics of mutual interest, foremost among them developments in the Middle East and their serious implications for regional and international security and stability.
