Review of Fund activities and future plans
The meeting reviewed the fund’s activities, financial position, and final accounts for 2025, as well as the proposed budget for 2026, with Aboul Gheit calling for stronger support from member states to enhance its developmental role.
Officials noted that during the 2025–2026 academic year, the fund implemented around 70 training courses benefiting 1,126 African trainees across various fields, in addition to offering 100 scholarships to students from 20 African countries.
Expanding training and scholarship programmes
The fund also plans to organise 40 training courses during the 2026–2027 academic year and provide 100 additional scholarships, reinforcing its commitment to capacity-building and educational cooperation between Arab and African countries.
