The station, located in the Al Hilal area, is part of Etihad Rail’s wider passenger network, which is being developed to link key cities and regions across the UAE.
His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, visited the station to review progress, accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, and His Highness Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Etihad Rail.
During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the station’s facilities and the services to be offered to passengers once operations begin.
The Fujairah station is part of the planned passenger rail network that will connect Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah, with services to be introduced in phases.
Etihad Rail said the passenger experience will feature retail spaces, VIP lounges, Wi-Fi, and on-board catering.
The company also highlighted that the station has been designed with modern architecture and integrated facilities, including passenger service offices, waiting areas, digital payment systems, and clear signage, to ensure a seamless travel experience.
Once operational, the passenger network is expected to significantly improve mobility across the UAE and support economic development and investment opportunities in connected regions.
