Sharjah 24: Sharjah Municipality (SM) confirmed its readiness to receive Eid Al Adha, ensuring the provision of its services according to the best standards.
The municipality's intensified efforts towards Eid Al Adha include carrying out various inspection visits, organising intensive campaigns to monitor all negative behaviours, and taking the necessary measures towards them. 

In this context, Obaid Saeed Al Tunaiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality (SM) confirmed that the municipality has prepared with all its relevant departments and work teams to receive the blessed Eid Al Adha according to action plans that enhance the role of the municipality in providing the best services to the public.

He highlighted that the municipality provided a number of veterinarians during the slaughtering process and increased the number of working hours to follow up the high demand for sacrifices.

He stated that there are intensive inspection tours of food preparation facilities to ensure their compliance with all health controls and standards, regulating the workflow and adherence to the preventive and precautionary measures previously announced by the municipality.

He pointed out that the inspection campaigns will include making sure that the sale and circulation of fireworks, which are prohibited because of the danger they pose to members of society, especially children.

He noted that public parking will be free from the first and even third days of Eid, except for areas subject to fees throughout the week and official holidays, which can be viewed through the blue plates. 

He also maintained that Sharjah’s parks receive the public in accordance with preventive measures and controls, as they open their doors from four in the afternoon until ten in the evening, and Sharjah National Park and Al Rolla Park receive the public from nine in the morning until eleven in the middle of the night.

The municipality called on the public to communicate with it through the call centre on the number 993 to report any violations or observations, as it welcomes all calls around the clock.
