The evening was presented by poet Aya Wahbi, who said in her introduction:
“Gratitude and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for his support, kindness and care.”
Poet Ali Al Emara opened the readings with a text rich in symbolism and meaning, drawing literary inspiration from the journey of the poet Imru’ Al Qais to the Caesar.
He was followed by poet Talal Al Junaibi, who began his participation with a patriotic poem titled Fragrance of the Union, expressing his pride in the UAE, its achievements and resilience.
The readings concluded with poet Turki Al Muaini, whose style stood out for its linguistic strength, evoking a number of human and Islamic symbols and weaving them into a beautiful poetic form. He recited from a poem titled A Crime Against Spring.
At the end of the evening, poet Mohammed Al Breiki honoured the participating poets and the evening’s presenter.
