The exhibition showcased works by a distinguished group of photographers, including Mohammed Hussein Ali, Mohammed Ghaith Bayazid, Ahmed Obaid Al Naqbi, Adarsh Karovish, Mai Medhat Arnaout, Hayat Saad Al Turki, Hudhaifa Mohammed Ali, Wael Ansi, Ibrahim bin Rashid, Noura Abdullah Sultan, Khalida Faisaly, Aqeel Ibrahim Al Jammal, Hudhaifa Abdulaziz Al Rais, Omnia Mohammed Al Shabrawi, Hudein Hussein Al Saadi, Dr Sarah Al Bahnsawi and Mayas Hawari.
The photographs captured the serenity and beauty of Sharjah’s mosques, blending the grandeur of Islamic architecture with spiritual reflection and artistic depth.
Several images showcased geometric patterns, Arabic calligraphy, ornamental motifs and muqarnas designs, reflecting the richness of Islamic art and architectural identity.
Sunset and panoramic shots captured the relationship between mosque architecture and Sharjah’s skyline, particularly scenes overlooking Khalid Lagoon and the city’s urban landscape.
Natural light, water reflections and twilight colours gave the photographs a poetic atmosphere, balancing tranquillity and vitality.
The exhibition offered a visual artistic experience that went beyond conventional documentation, transforming photography into a space for emotional and spiritual contemplation, in which architecture becomes a living expression of identity and beauty.
Omar Abdulaziz, Chairman of the Arab Cultural Club, said the exhibition created a rich visual artistic system that linked aesthetics to deeper cultural meanings rooted in Islamic civilisation.
Calligrapher and artist Khalifa Al Shaimi, Head of Arts and Exhibitions at the club, praised the exhibition and the artistic and historical value evident in the works.
He also commended the Emirates Photography Society for donating all the exhibited artworks to the club for permanent display.
Mohammed Alaa, Events Coordinator at the Emirates Photography Society, expressed pride in collaborating with the Arab Cultural Club for the second consecutive year and praised Sharjah’s distinctive mosque architecture.
Photographer Jamal Ibrahim Aqeel, who placed second in the 2026 Abu Dhabi International Arabian Horse Photography Championship, said he was pleased to help showcase the beauty and architectural depth of Sharjah’s mosques.
He also emphasised the importance of collective exhibitions in refining artistic skills and in developing photographers’ creative experiences.
