Sharjah24: During its third regular meeting, the Sharjah Camel Racing Club, led by Abdullah Mohammed Muadhid bin Huwaiden Al Ketbi, and board members reviewed plans for the third edition of the Ruler of Sharjah Camel Racing Festival. The meeting also discussed major agenda issues and numerous recommendations for the next event.
The board thanked His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, for continuing to support the club and camel racing aficionados, as well as for launching the festival's third edition at the Al Dhaid racetrack.
The chairman and board members also thanked Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi the Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler, as well as Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for their attention and support this year.
They expressed their gratitude to the Sharjah Sports Council, directed by Issa Hilal Al Hazami, for its continuous sponsorship of camel racing events in Al Dhaid.
The panel also examined building progress on the 6-kilometre track at the Al Dhaid camel racing field, as well as processes for future races and festival participation.
