Sharjah 24: His Excellency Mohammed Ali Al Hammadi, member of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC), stated that the Council discussed the draft law regulating the use of drones in the Emirate of Sharjah during its sixteenth plenary session of the third regular session of the eleventh legislative term.

Al Hammadi explained that the Council reviewed 28 articles of the draft law submitted by the government, with an additional article added during discussions, bringing the total number of approved articles to 29.

Al Hammadi added, in statements to Sharjah 24, that the session focused on the objectives of the law and the role of the Department of Civil Aviation in regulating the sector. He noted that an important provision was added to support the Emirate’s position as a centre for creativity and innovation in this field.

He also pointed out that government representatives approved all amendments proposed by the Council’s Legislative and Legal Committee to ensure a sound legal formulation in line with legislative standards in the Emirate of Sharjah.
