Sharjah24: Sharjah Economic Development Department “SEDD” organised " Dibba Al Hisn Investment Forum" which was held with the participation of a number of entrepreneurs and project owners to discuss the investment advantages in the city.
The Forum aimed at highlighting the existence of investment opportunities in Dibba Al Hisn, attracting and supporting companies and entrepreneurs to invest in the city, raising the economic level, and working to enhance commercial licenses and investments that contribute to serving and growing the commercial sector in the region. Also, the Forum presented a number of success stories related to projects by entrepreneurs in Dibba Al Hisn.
In addition, SEDD highlighted the attractive investment environment in Dibba Al Hisn, its diversified economy, and the investment opportunities and advantages it provides to companies and businessmen in a number of strategic sectors. Such thing falls within its strategy to promote various regions of Sharjah, especially the Eastern Region.
It is worth mentioning that organizing this Forum emphasizes SEDD’s concerns to enhance various cooperative relations, accelerate development processes in the Eastern Region, and develop mutual work system to find outputs that serve all parties to improve the levels of service provided to entrepreneurs and project owners. This goes in line with the emirate’s drive to build a strong and sustainable knowledge-based economy, and enhances UAE’s competitiveness at the global level.
Commenting on that, Khalfan Al Herathi, Director SEDD Branches Department at SEDD, said that the Department adopts the wis directives of HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to improve various fields in the emirate, especially the economic ones, and particularly those related to entrepreneurial projects. He added that organizing these meetings aims to achieve effective communication with entrepreneurs, to introduce them to the investment advantages in Dibba Al Hisn and to provide them with all the laws and legislation related to their activities, thus attaining the best government practices.
Furthermore, Al Herathi illustrated that SEDD seeks to drive economic development in all cities of the emirate and to understand the aspirations and hopes of the public and private sectors. He pointed out that the Forum is a suitable opportunity for direct meeting between the Department and entrepreneurs to identify the most prominent challenges facing them and also to exchange opinions and ideas that support the advancement of economic sectors in Dibba Al Hisn.
On the other hand, Ahmed Said bin Saed Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of Commercial Affairs Department, stated that supporting and assisting leading projects is among the priorities of SEDD, which will witness the launch of many initiatives and programs in cooperation with concerned institutions to motivate and encourage young citizens to engage in projects that serve the economic development process in the country and constitute a valuable addition to the economy, society and the individual alike.
