Sharjah 24: Sheikh Abdullah bin Majid Al Qasimi, the Chairman of the Organizing Committee, has announced the upcoming 26th Sharjah International Arabian Horse Festival. This exciting event will take place at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club from April 4 to 6 and will feature over 250 purebred Arabian horses from both local and international stables. The festival promises thrilling competitions across six different categories, with valuable prizes for the winners, showcasing the elegance of these remarkable horses and honoring the breeders and horse owners.

In an interview with “Sharjah 24,” Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the strong participation from various stables, which showcases the festival’s esteemed reputation worldwide. The competitions will be judged by a panel of international judges from the European Conference of Arab Horse Organizations (ECAHO), who are highly knowledgeable about Arabian horses.

The judging process will focus on several key aspects, including the horse's head shape, movements, the balance of its neck and body, and the strength of its legs, all of which reveal the beauty of these purebred Arabian horses.

Sheikh Abdullah also mentioned that the festival will feature six main championships that cater to different horse categories: one-year-old fillies, fillies, mares, one-year-old colts, colts, and stallions. This variety ensures that there is something for every horse age and type at the event.

The total prize money for the festival amounts to AED 260,000, which will be awarded to the champions in each category. This reflects the commitment of Sharjah to support Arabian horse owners and encourage breeders to enhance their horses and participate in international events, further establishing Sharjah’s reputation as a leading center for equestrian activities.

The festival is organized by the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club in collaboration with Sharjah International Airport, the Sharjah Sports Council, and the Emirates Arabian Horse Society, alongside ECAHO, ensuring that all judging meets the highest international standards.
