SEDD launches its new corporate identity

Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) announced the launch of its new corporate identity under the slogan “A New Beginning for a Sustainable Economy.” This new identity aligns with SEDD’s vision for sustainable economic development and reflects its commitment to continuous modernisation, a cornerstone of its strategy and a fundamental aspect of its core values in keeping pace with the latest developments.

New logo

The new logo features a geometric design that reflects the precision and organisation associated with economics and good governance, embodying the concepts of growth, innovation, sustainability, and stability. The use of sharp angles symbolises the precision of procedures and organisational structure, while the gradual transformation represents the dynamism of the economy and its responsiveness to future developments.

The new visual identity also incorporates integrated elements of colors, fonts, patterns, and symbols, in addition to dedicated applications for digital media and official publications.

Innovation-driven and sustainable economic development

The launch of the new identity reflects the Department's vision of achieving innovation-driven and sustainable economic development, in line with the Sharjah government's directives. Through this update, the Sharjah Economic Development Department reaffirms its commitment to establishing an integrated economic system that fosters a competitive business environment, builds effective strategic partnerships, and cultivates outstanding institutional capabilities.

New phase of ambitious future aspirations

In this context, His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of SEDD and Member of the Executive Council, stated, "The Department's new corporate identity is embodied in its logo, which represents a new phase of ambitious future aspirations that the Department is committed to continuously solidifying. This is achieved through updated strategies that keep pace with changes and adopt global best practices, thereby enhancing its performance indicators and delivering the highest level of services in this vital sector." His Excellency affirmed that the announcement of the new identity stems from the importance of the department’s active role in the economic system of the Emirate of Sharjah, in accordance with the tasks and responsibilities it undertakes in the government economic work sector. It also comes as an extension of the department’s work journey, in which it responds to the changes of reality and anticipates future prospects with well-thought-out plans, inspired by the wise leadership’s visions and directives in excellence and leadership and consolidating its leading position in various fields and sectors.
