Sharjah24: RUWAD, affiliated with Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), organised the seventh edition of its annual community initiative “From the Good of Our Entrepreneurs” during the holy month of Ramadan 2026, in cooperation with the Sharjah Charity International. The initiative aims to promote social solidarity and reinforce the role of entrepreneurial projects in serving the community.

The initiative witnessed the participation of four member projects, along with several benefactors, who contributed to providing daily Iftar meals for fasting individuals. A total of 1,783 Iftar meals were distributed throughout the month.

Entrepreneurial projects contributing to charity

The participating projects included “Atyab Samosa,” “Ibreek Al Shai Café,” “Arak Medical Center,” and “Al Touma Fashion Design.” These projects contributed to preparing and serving meals, reflecting entrepreneurs’ commitment to their social role alongside their economic activities.

Fruitful contribution

In this context, Fatima Al Ali, Director of the foundation, expressed her appreciation to all contributors and participants for the success of the initiative. She affirmed that “From the Good of Our Entrepreneurs” aims to enhance the spirit of social responsibility among business owners, promote a culture of giving and volunteerism, support humanitarian initiatives serving various segments of society, and strengthen partnerships between entrepreneurs and charitable organisations to achieve sustainable community development.

Over 51,000 meals distributed since launch

She added that over its seven editions since its launch in 2018, the initiative has attracted 43 entrepreneurial projects, with a total of 51,554 Iftar meals distributed during this period. This reflects the growing awareness among business owners of the importance of contributing to community and humanitarian initiatives, as well as the commitment of entrepreneurs in Sharjah to their national and social roles alongside their economic contributions to development.

Continued commitment to community support

She confirmed that the foundation will continue to launch and implement community initiatives that provide opportunities for member projects to actively serve society, reinforcing values of solidarity and cohesion, and reflecting the civilised image of national projects in the Emirate of Sharjah.
