Sharjah24: Cade Cunningham guided the Detroit Pistons to a thrilling 137–135 victory in overtime against the Washington Wizards in a tense NBA contest, extending Detroit’s winning streak to seven games. The Pistons now lead the Eastern Conference with a 9–2 record, while Washington suffered its ninth defeat of the season, with just one win so far.

Cunningham achieved a historic triple-double, scoring a career-high 46 points on 14-of-45 shooting, along with 12 rebounds, 11 assists, five steals, and two blocks, helping his team secure a hard-fought victory in front of an electrified home crowd.

Jenkins’ buzzer-beater forces overtime

Dennis Jenkins played a vital role coming off the bench, sinking an important three-pointer in the final second of regulation to send the game into overtime.

“We knew how important this game was for us,” Jenkins said after the victory. “We didn’t let anything stop us from getting this win.”

Jenkins scored 24 points and grabbed eight rebounds, both career highs, while Jalen Duren contributed 19 points and 14 rebounds to secure the team’s impressive comeback.

Pistons extend streak, Wizards struggle

With this result, Detroit celebrated its seventh consecutive victory, continuing its dominant streak in the early part of the season. The Wizards, meanwhile, remain in trouble near the bottom of the standings after another defensive lapse despite showing resilience throughout the game.
