Sharjah 24 – AFP: The San Antonio Spurs secured a commanding victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves, winning 126-97 in the Western Conference Semifinals of the NBA playoffs.

Wembanyama returns to lead Spurs

French star Victor Wembanyama returned to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a one-game advantage over the Minnesota Timberwolves, putting them one win away from the Western Conference Finals.

Wembanyama avoided suspension after being ejected in Game 4 on Sunday for an elbow incident during the Spurs’ loss to the Timberwolves in the semifinal series.

Dominant performance on both ends

The star center made a strong impact in Tuesday’s game, scoring 27 points, including 16 in a dominant first quarter that saw San Antonio surge to an early 24-9 lead.

Wembanyama finished with 27 points, 17 rebounds, five assists, and three blocks, delivering a dominant all-around performance on both ends of the court.

Spurs take aeries lead ahead of Game 6

With the win, San Antonio takes a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series, with Game 6 set for Friday in Minneapolis.
