The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) honoured 14 foster families in recognition of their vital role in caring for children deprived of family care, providing them with a warm and safe home environment that supports their future development and integration into society.
The Department affirmed that the “Inclusion” event embodies the values of humanitarian giving deeply rooted in Emirati society, highlighting the essential contribution of foster families in shaping children’s futures and integrating them into the community within a nurturing and supportive family setting.
Fostering is a system that enables home-based care for children lacking family support, ensuring them a dignified life and sustainable future within families that provide love, guidance, and belonging as one of their own. This model has long been adopted by the Sharjah Social Services Department as part of its ongoing commitment to protecting childhood and strengthening family stability across the emirate.
