Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Social Services Department (SSSD) will launch, on Sunday, the virtual dialogue programme “Ulfa”, featuring experts and specialists in family and community matters. The initiative aims to promote community reassurance and provide psychological support to families amid rapidly evolving news and information.

The programme offers interactive sessions highlighting ways to strengthen family psychological stability, equip community members with practical tools to navigate news responsibly, and foster a culture of source verification and social responsibility.

Participants include Mariam Al Mehairi, Director of Social Awareness, Fatima Al Marzouqi, Director of the Child and Family Protection Centre, and Bushra Al Ali, Director of Itzan Centre, with sessions moderated by Abdul Raouf Ameera. Discussions will cover parental roles in creating a secure family environment, supporting children psychologically in a fast-moving news cycle, and guiding youth to engage thoughtfully with social media information.

Ulfa will run as a series of sessions targeting all community groups, including children, youth, and the elderly, with special sessions led by child awareness ambassadors to share positive messages on managing distressing news and fostering safety within families and society.
