Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed inaugurates 17th Abu Dhabi Art

Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, has inaugurated the 17th Abu Dhabi Art, organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi). The event is taking place at Manarat Al Saadiyat until 23 November 2025.

A tour of leading artworks and projects

During the inauguration, His Highness Sheikh Khaled viewed a selection of leading artworks and sculptures, as well as projects presented by participating art institutions. This year's edition features 142 galleries from 34 countries, including 53 galleries participating for the first time.

Emphasising the cultural vision of Abu Dhabi

Sheikh Khaled reaffirmed the importance of strengthening Abu Dhabi’s cultural landscape. He highlighted that the exhibition plays a key role in advancing the emirate’s cultural vision by showcasing creative talent and fostering global cultural dialogue.

Supporting artists and global cultural engagement

His Highness emphasised Abu Dhabi Art’s vital role as a platform for local and international artists to showcase their work and engage with a broad audience of art enthusiasts. He underscored the importance of ongoing efforts to promote cultural activity and reinforce Abu Dhabi’s position as a global hub for arts and creativity.

The event was attended by notable figures including Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash, Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh, Abdulrahman bin Mohammed Al Owais, Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, Mohammed Ahmed Al Murr, Saif Saeed Ghobash, and Saood Abdulaziz Al Hosani.

The increased participation in this edition reflects the impact of Abu Dhabi’s strategic, sustainable investments in the cultural and creative sectors.
