The celebration, held at the Sharjah Chamber’s headquarters, was attended by Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI, and Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of SCCI, along with the Chamber’s board members.
Also present were Abdullah Deaifis, Chairman of the Executive Committee of Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre “Tahkeem”; Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI; and Dr. Ahmed Saleh Al-Ajla, Director of the Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre “Tahkeem”, as well as directors of various departments and affiliated institutions operating under the Sharjah Chamber.
The ceremony commenced with the hoisting of the national flag, the national anthem, and a recitation from the Holy Qur’an. The event featured a variety of cultural and heritage-focused activities, including competitions, poetry performances, traditional songs, and national folk dances, reflecting the spirit of the occasion.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais stated that the 54th Eid Al Etihad celebration renews the pledge to uphold the legacy of the founding fathers, delivering a powerful message that reflects national cohesion and the deep values of belonging, loyalty, and devotion to the nation and its wise leadership.
He noted that this national occasion comes at a time when the foundations of the Union stand stronger than ever, with the United Arab Emirates emerging as an influential and inspiring model for regional and international development in the region and beyond.
For his part, Mohammed Ahmed Amin Al Awadi said, “This glorious day commemorates 54 years of progress initiated by the nation’s founding leaders and carried forward by our wise leadership, which has steered the UAE toward substantial and sustained achievements.”
He added that the UAE now stands as a distinguished global benchmark for leadership, innovation, and sustainable growth.
