This event embodied the deep-rooted fraternal relations between the United Arab Emirates and the Sultanate of Oman. The programme included a variety of segments, most notably musical pieces performed by the Royal Oman Police Band, a video presentation of the celebration held in Al Khuwair Square on the 24th of last month, a musical performance entitled "Bonds of Love," a student performance, and various artistic displays and musical pieces presented by the Royal Oman Navy Band.
These were followed by a number of national songs that reflected the special nature of the occasion and the shared spirit between the two brotherly nations.
The Organisational Committee delegation included His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Raisi, Director of Ports and Border Points Affairs at the Sharjah Ports, Customs and Free Zones Authority; Dr Ahmed Al Mazrouei, Director of Kalba Municipality; and a number of officers and officials from the Ports and Border Points sector.
The delegation was received by Colonel Matar bin Hamad Al Makhmari, Assistant Commander of the North Al Batinah Governorate Police, and a number of senior officers and officials from the Royal Oman Police.
His Excellency Mohammed Ibrahim Al Raisi affirmed that this participation comes within the framework of the distinguished relations between the UAE and the Sultanate of Oman, and the deep-rooted historical, social, and cultural ties that bind the two countries. He commended the efforts of the organising bodies, noting that these occasions embody the values of love, solidarity, and mutual respect between the two wise leaderships and the two brotherly peoples.
As part of community engagement with this cherished national occasion, the Organisational Committee of Ports and Border Points in the Emirate of Sharjah distributed commemorative gifts to travelers at the Khatmat Malaha border crossing in Kalba, the Al Madam border crossing, and the Dibba Al Hisn border points, reflecting the values of love, harmony, and neighborliness that unite the people of both nations.
