Higher Education Council hosts workshop on future of education

Sharjah24: Dr Aisha Mohammed Bukhatir Al Shamsi, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Council for Higher Education and Scientific Research, stated that the council organised a specialised workshop titled “Building the Future of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Sharjah”, with the participation of university presidents and directors in the emirate, along with more than 100 academic and administrative staff.

Bukhatir added in remarks to “Sharjah 24” that the workshop aimed to strengthen institutional integration and develop a shared vision to support the higher education and scientific research ecosystem, in alignment with the emirate’s aspirations and future direction. She noted that the workshop sought to open an effective dialogue between academic and administrative leaders on best practices and strategies that contribute to developing competencies and advancing educational programmes, in addition to discussing ways to support innovation and scientific research within the emirate’s educational institutions.

She concluded by saying that the workshop represents an important step towards updating the council’s strategy for the upcoming phase, by engaging leaderships in formulating a unified vision capable of reinforcing Sharjah’s position as a leading centre in higher education and scientific research.
