The match was held on 13 December at the late Khaled Yousef Al Marzouq Hall at Salwa Al Sabah Sports Club in Kuwait, in front of a notable official and public audience.
The final represented a genuine test for Sharjah, given the strength of their opponents, who had also reached the final without a single defeat. The challenge was compounded by Sharjah having played a gruelling five-set semi-final the previous evening, which required significant physical and mental effort and posed an additional recovery challenge ahead of the decisive match.
Despite this, the first two sets were fiercely contested, with Sharjah’s players securing victory after a high-level technical battle that remained close until the final moments. The team then asserted their championship character in the third set, imposing their superiority to end the match with scores of 25–23, 25–22 and 25–15, inscribing their name as the first-ever champions of the event.
The awards ceremony saw Sheikha Naeema Al Ahmad, Chairwoman of Salwa Al Sabah Sports Club, present medals to the top three teams, alongside Ali Al Kuwari, President of the West Asia Volleyball Federation and the Qatar Volleyball Federation, and Dr Jaber Al Marri, President of the Volleyball Federation. Saudi Arabia’s Al Ula Club finished third after defeating Jordan’s Al Nasr in the third-place play-off, in a championship that featured 12 teams from across the Arab world.
Sharjah delivered a perfect run throughout the tournament after arriving in Kuwait on 1 December. They opened their campaign with a convincing straight-sets win over Qatar’s Al Arabi, followed by another 3–0 victory against Yemen’s Al Nasr. The team then secured an important 3–1 win over Kuwait’s Salwa Al Sabah in a match marked by strong fan attendance and high enthusiasm. Sharjah continued their positive results in the knockout stages, defeating Saudi Arabia’s Al Fayha 3–0 in the quarter-finals, before booking their place in the final with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Al Ula of Saudi Arabia in a match described as one of the strongest and most competitive of the tournament, decided by intense focus until the final moments. The win underlined the team’s competitive character and ability to prevail under the toughest circumstances.
Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation, congratulated Sharjah Women’s Sports Club on the achievement. Writing on her official account, Her Highness said:

She noted Her Highness’s keenness to encourage the players, urging them to persevere, work hard and continue developing their level in all matches. Al Mahmoud added that the importance of the title extends beyond the trophy itself, as it grants the club an official ranking that places greater responsibilities on the team in the coming phase, foremost among them preparations for the eighth edition of the Arab Women’s Clubs Games, to be hosted by Sharjah in February 2026, alongside competing in the domestic league. She wished the team success in their upcoming commitments.
Mai Al Ameri, Deputy Director of Sharjah Women’s Sports Club, pointed out that the team’s success is the result of integrated work at both technical and administrative levels. She praised the high level of commitment shown by the players and the technical and administrative staff, stressing that this achievement reflects the culture of winning that has become firmly established within the club.

He highlighted their success in dealing with all challenges, particularly in decisive matches, adding that fighting spirit, tactical discipline and the ability to perform under pressure were decisive factors on the road to the title.
Sharjah’s team received a warm welcome upon their return to the UAE on Sunday, 14 December, attended by the players’ families and the club’s junior team, which had followed all the tournament matches. The gesture reflects the club’s commitment to preparing the next generation and fostering a culture of belonging and positive role models across different age groups.
Mouza Al Shamsi, Director of the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation, who was among those welcoming the team, expressed her happiness with the achievement. She affirmed that the triumph represents a moment of joy, pride and responsibility, embodying the results of integrated work and continuous support enjoyed by women’s sport in the emirate.
