The announcement marks a major milestone as the event adopts a new identity and a broader mandate.
Scheduled for 26 to 29 March 2026, the fourth edition of SACC will be hosted at a venue three times larger than those of previous editions. The programme will feature expanded stages, larger exhibition areas, interactive workshops, and immersive creative activations. A key highlight of the 2026 edition is the launch of the Animation and Comics Market, designed to create new professional and commercial opportunities for creators, publishers, and producers.
As part of its expanded vision, SACC will launch the first official census of Arab illustrators, animators, authors, and creatives across the Middle East and North Africa. The initiative aims to build a comprehensive database to support long-term growth and collaboration within the Arab creative ecosystem.
Khoula Al Mujaini, Executive Director of SACC, said the conference reflects Sharjah’s cultural vision under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and the guidance of Her Highness Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Book Authority.
