45 students from AQU perform Umrah pilgrimage

Sharjah24: A group of 45 male and female students from Al Qasimia University (AQU) departed for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah as part of a joint initiative between AQU and Sharjah Charity International, in cooperation with Dar Al Ber Society.

Before their departure, Prof. Dr Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University (AQU), met the students on campus in Sharjah, accompanied by Ms Ahlam bin Jarash, Assistant Chancellor for Female Students Affairs. During the meeting, Dr Al Khalaf encouraged the students to make the most of the blessed journey through acts of worship and supplication, praying for their acceptance, success, and safe return.

Strengthening spiritual values among students

Dr Awad Al Khalaf praised the constructive cooperation between Al Qasimia University, Sharjah Charity International, and Dar Al Ber Society, commending their efforts in supporting initiatives that reinforce religious values and ensure a comfortable, well-organised experience for student pilgrims. He stressed that such initiatives play an important role in strengthening students’ spiritual development and deepening their connection to Islamic values.

Students express gratitude

Participating students expressed their happiness and gratitude for the opportunity, thanking AQU, Sharjah Charity International, and Dar Al Ber Society for organising the Umrah trip and enabling them to perform the pilgrimage and visit the Holy Mosque.
