Sharjah24 - WAM: Sharjah International Airport has announced its full readiness to handle the expected surge in passenger numbers during the winter holiday season. The airport has implemented a series of operational measures to ensure smooth passenger flow, enhance service quality, and emphasise the importance of arriving at least three hours before departure.

City check-in services

Departing passengers are encouraged to use enhanced services, including city check-in for Air Arabia travellers, allowing baggage drop-off before arriving at the airport and enabling passengers to proceed directly to passport control upon arrival.

Self-service and fast-track options

The airport offers self-service check-in and baggage drop counters, fast-track lanes, smart gates, and the “Hala” assistance service. A new home check-in service for Air Arabia and Fly Jinnah passengers allows travellers to complete all procedures at home and head straight to passport control.

New hospitality lounge

The newly opened “Hospitality Lounge” at the main departures entrance provides enhanced comfort for passengers. Airport teams have increased readiness across all areas to ensure smooth departures and arrivals, particularly during peak periods.

Ensuring a seamless travel experience

These measures reflect Sharjah Airport’s ongoing efforts to optimise operations and provide a seamless travel experience amid continued growth in winter season passenger numbers.
