Launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Great Arab Minds Award is the largest initiative of its kind in the Arab world and is often described as the “Arab Nobel.” It recognises exceptional Arab talent across six categories, including Literature and Arts, Medicine, Engineering and Technology, Economics, Natural Sciences, and Architecture and Design.
Professor Dagher, a leading Lebanese poet, critic, and academic, is Professor of Arabic Literature and Arts at the University of Balamand. His work bridges heritage and modernity and has made a lasting impact on Arab literary and art criticism.
The announcement of Dagher’s win concludes the list of winners for the third edition of the Great Arab Minds Award, following evaluations by specialised international judging committees.
