UAE defeats Qatar in AFC U-23 Asian Cup

Sharjah 24: The UAE Olympic team defeated Qatar 2-0 in their opening match of the AFC U-23 Championship, currently being held in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with 16 teams participating.

The goals were scored by Ali Al Maamari in the 20th minute and Junior Ndiaye in the 38th minute. The UAE national team thus secured their first three points in Group B.
