UOS partners with Sungrow to advance renewable energy

Sharjah24: The University of Sharjah (UOS) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Sungrow Middle East to collaborate on research, development and training in renewable energy technologies and energy storage solutions.

The agreement was signed by Dr Salah Taher Al Haj, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs at the University of Sharjah, and Mr Li Wu, Chief Operating Officer of Sungrow Middle East. The partnership will foster collaboration in key growth areas, including photovoltaic power generation, energy storage systems and microgrids, combining academic expertise with industry-driven innovation.

Knowledge exchange and capacity building

Under the agreement, both parties will promote knowledge exchange, joint research initiatives, academic collaboration and professional events. These activities aim to enhance learning outcomes, build technical capacity, nurture specialised talent and strengthen ties between academia and industry.
