The agreement was signed by Dr Salah Taher Al Haj, Vice Chancellor for Community Affairs at the University of Sharjah, and Mr Paul Moody, the CFA Institute’s global chief executive. Together, they outlined a shared vision focused on raising standards in financial education and equipping students with skills that translate directly into professional readiness.
Ensuring alignment with global professional standards and best practices
Under the memorandum, the two institutions will collaborate on specialised awareness sessions for students in the College of Business Administration and offer a range of internationally recognised professional certificates in areas such as investment, private markets, and data science. Students will also be invited to take part in professional events designed to strengthen their understanding of the industry and improve their transition into the workplace.
The partnership further includes providing expert feedback on the University’s finance curricula to ensure alignment with global professional standards and best practices. Both sides also committed to supporting joint initiatives and activities of mutual interest, reinforcing the role of collaboration in building a more dynamic and globally connected financial education ecosystem.
