This approach comes in implementation of the vision and directives of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs, who underscores the importance of integrated work among the emirate’s institutions and harnessing capabilities to support the path of women’s empowerment and reinforce their active presence across various fields—foremost among them the sports sector—as one of the essential pathways for building individuals and strengthening their role in society.
The Sharjah Sports Council serves as the strategic partner of the Arab Women’s Clubs Games, stemming from its role in supporting and developing the sports sector and fostering a comprehensive competitive environment for sporting tournaments, in line with Sharjah’s vision of elevating sports work and consolidating institutional professionalism at the level of events and championships.
Air Arabia participates as the official carrier of the tournament, alongside the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority as the strategic media partner of the Games, through broadcasting the event and providing ongoing media coverage. This enhances the tournament’s presence among audiences and in the media, and contributes to spotlighting the achievements of Arab sportswomen.
Sharjah Municipality also contributes to the success of the event as the main logistics partner, by supporting the preparation and alignment of infrastructure and operational services, ensuring compliance with approved standards and the capacity to accommodate spectators and participating delegations, and helping provide a safe and distinguished experience for athletes and the public.
Arada joins the list of main partners, in the context of its support for community-oriented sports initiatives, embodying the private sector’s role in strengthening institutional partnerships, empowering women, and supporting high-quality sporting events.
The Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority joins the partners as well, in support of Sharjah’s standing as an integrated sports and tourism destination, and to reinforce its role in attracting events that bring together sport and community development.
The Emirates Health Services Foundation also participates within the partner ecosystem, reflecting its commitment to providing an integrated health system accompanying the event and ensuring the highest standards of safety and medical care for participating athletes. Meanwhile, the Media Office of the Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs undertakes its role as the official partner for the Games’ artistic and media production, in support of the social and cultural messages carried by the tournament.
This integrated institutional cooperation embodies Sharjah’s vision of building a sustainable sports ecosystem that places people at the top of its priorities and believes in sport as a developmental pathway that enhances quality of life and opens wider horizons for Arab women to pursue professionalism and excellence.
In this regard, His Excellency Dr Sheikh Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council, said preparations for the eighth edition of the Arab Women’s Games are progressing according to a clear and ambitious vision. He noted that since its launch, the Games have enjoyed generous support and patronage from Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, the spouse of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Sharjah Supreme Council for Family Affairs, which has contributed to consolidating its status as a leading Arab sporting event.
Sheikh Khalid Al Qasimi affirmed the readiness of the emirate’s clubs and all its infrastructure, and placing them at the disposal of the organising committee to contribute to the success and distinction of the eighth edition, in a way that fulfils the shared objective of delivering an exceptional tournament that will capture everyone’s attention.
His Excellency Dr Abdulrahman bin Talia, Executive Affairs Director at Air Arabia, the official carrier of the Games, confirmed that the company’s sponsorship of the eighth edition of the Arab Women’s Clubs Games comes within the framework of a firmly established strategic partnership with the Sharjah Women’s Sports Foundation, and stems from belief in the tournament’s message and objectives in strengthening sporting and human connections among Arab clubs and empowering women in sport.
He expressed Air Arabia’s pride in being the official carrier of the Games, which launch from the Emirate of Sharjah, noting that supporting the tournament aligns with the emirate’s vision of embedding sport as a way of life, promoting health and active lifestyles. He stressed that the company views aviation as a bridge that connects values and aspirations—not only cities—reflecting its commitment to supporting community initiatives with sustainable impact.
Mohammed Majid Al Suwaidi, Director of Sharjah Sports Channel, pointed to the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s keenness—represented by Sharjah Sports Channel—to cover all details of this leading Arab sporting event through live and daily broadcasts of the Games on Sharjah Sports channels, in addition to a network of correspondents spread across the various competition venues, dedicating daily programmes and messages, and broadcasting the opening and closing ceremonies and the conference. This is to ensure that Arab viewers are at the heart of the competitions and fully informed of all results and behind-the-scenes developments, whether through satellite or visual coverage, which will also be provided via the Maraya app and Sharjah Sports Channel’s pages across various social media platforms that will transmit news, events, and results of the largest and most important Arab sporting gathering.
His Excellency Obaid Saeed Al Teneiji, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, said: “The Municipality is keen to support the various activities and events organised by the emirate in a way that highlights its status and quality of life and reflects its comprehensive renaissance in all fields. This support for the current edition of the Arab Women’s Clubs Games comes within its efforts and strategy to contribute to the tournament’s success and distinction, through providing integrated infrastructure and logistics services that help ensure the event’s success and deliver a safe and outstanding experience for athletes and the public, in line with Sharjah’s vision for organising major events.”
His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, explained that this tournament contributes to consolidating the Emirate of Sharjah’s position as an integrated sports and tourism destination, and reflects the emirate’s vision of leveraging sport as one of the main drivers to enrich its calendar of high-quality events throughout the year. He added that hosting such championships diversifies the experiences of tourists and visitors and provides integrated tourism content that combines sport, culture, and entertainment, supporting Sharjah’s competitiveness at both the regional and international levels.
He affirmed that sport plays a pivotal role in supporting the tourism sector and boosting tourism movement, in addition to its positive impact in strengthening social cohesion and spreading a culture of health and active lifestyles, in line with the emirate’s orientations toward sustainable development and quality of life.
For his part, His Excellency Dr Issam Al Zarooni, Executive Director of the Medical Services Sector at the Emirates Health Services Foundation, confirmed that the Foundation’s participation in the eighth edition of the Arab Women’s Clubs Games comes within the framework of its commitment to supporting national and regional initiatives that enhance women’s health and empowerment and reinforce the concepts of prevention and quality of life across various fields. He explained that the Foundation will participate with an integrated medical system accompanying the event, including emergency services, ambulance support, and on-site medical assistance, ensuring the highest standards of safety and healthcare for participating athletes, and contributing to the success of this prominent Arab sporting event in line with best practices.
Ahmed Al Khushaybi, Group Chief Executive Officer at Arada, emphasised the importance of supporting community-focused sports initiatives, considering this tournament an inspiring model for empowering women and enhancing their active participation in the sports landscape. He explained that sport is a pivotal element in Arada’s approach to designing its residential communities, in line with Arada’s goal of creating spaces that provide healthier and happier lives.
The partner list includes a number of silver sponsors, namely the National Network for Communications, whose renewed sponsorship comes in support of efforts to ensure broad media and marketing presence for the Games across the Arab world, while the Irthi Contemporary Crafts Council participates as the creative promotion partner of the Games.
As part of their institutional support for the Games, Sharjah Airport and BEEAH join as bronze sponsors for the eighth edition of the Arab Women’s Clubs Games. Sharjah Airport contributes to supporting the system for receiving and transporting participating delegations, while BEEAH participation embodies its commitment to supporting sustainable community and sports initiatives and consolidating the concepts of environmental and social responsibility at major events.
The eighth edition also enjoys the support of an elite group of supporting sponsors, including the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, SANED Facilities Management, The Bloom Room, Al Sarh Advertising, Alef Group, Sharjah Retail, Sharjah Cooperative Society, Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority, Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority, and Al Hamriyah Municipality, within an integrated institutional partnership framework that contributes to the success of the event and strengthens its sporting and community impact.
Her Excellency Moza Al Shamsi, Director of the Arab Women’s Clubs Games, affirmed that the success of the Arab Women’s Clubs Games is based on a broad participatory organisational system. She noted that the Supreme Organising Committee includes national leaders from different entities, each of whom plays a pivotal role that integrates with the nature of its specialisation. On the security side, the role of Sharjah Police—represented by His Excellency Major General Abdullah Mubarak, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police—stands out in ensuring the highest standards of safety and security throughout the competitions. Meanwhile, the Residency and Foreigners Affairs sector, led by His Excellency Major General Arif Al Shamsi, contributes to facilitating procedures for participating delegations and ensuring smooth mobility.
She added that the health sector has an active presence within the committee through the Sharjah Health Authority, chaired by His Excellency Dr Abdulaziz Al Mehairi, enhancing the readiness of medical services and healthcare throughout the tournament period, alongside the role of the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, chaired by His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, in supporting the accompanying activities of the Games and strengthening their community and media presence. She also noted the contribution of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, led by Her Excellency Sheikha Jawaher bint Abdullah Al Qasimi, in hosting a number of the Games’ competitions at its facilities, in addition to its role in enhancing public attendance and spreading sports culture by promoting the Games’ competitions among its members and target groups, and encouraging community interaction with the event. Meanwhile, the Sharjah Hospitality Group, represented by Her Excellency Khoula bint Jassim Al Serkal, plays a key role in organising service-related aspects associated with hosting delegations and guests.
Al Shamsi explained that this integrative model is not limited to the Supreme Committee alone, but extends to all committees of the Games, which work in partnership with government entities and various sports institutions, affirming that the tournament’s success would not have been achieved without this broad institutional cooperation that has contributed to managing the event in accordance with the highest organisational and technical standards.
In the same context, Al Shamsi commended the pivotal role of the clubs and facilities hosting the competitions—foremost among them Sharjah Children, Al Bataeh Cultural and Sports Club, Al Dhaid Cultural and Sports Club, Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, Al Thiqa Club for the Disabled, Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club, in addition to Al Hamriyah Municipality—for the facilities and preparations they provided that contributed to accommodating the competitions, public attendance, and participating delegations, and ensuring an integrated and safe sporting experience.
